A new 5-string acoustic violin
with remarkable depth and clarity.
Designed by master luthier Gary Bartig, the Dahlia acoustic violin
features a spruce top and curly maple back, both machine
carved to proper arching, then hand graduated to final thickness.
The maple neck of the Dahlia 5 is adjusted in width for
even string spacing across the ebony fingerboard; the neck
and vibrating string length match that of a standard violin
for accurate intonation. The wider body gives solid voice
to the C string, without diminishing the brilliance and
power of the E string.
The Dahlia 5 is perfect for musicians who
play jazz, Celtic, bluegrass, folk or any style of music
where improvisation is valued. Teachers use the Dahlia 5
to instruct violin, viola, and even cello students. And
with the optional pickup, go right to a gig, while leaving
your priceless instrument at home.
